Host / Hostess

Responsibilities:

  • Providing prompt, efficient, courteous service to all guests
  • Greeting guests as they enter the restaurant and seating them as soon as a table is available; maintaining a wait list as necessary
  • Rotating station seating to ensure the quality of guest service
  • Handling guest complaints in a timely manner, inquiring about the quality of a guest’s dining experience, thanking guests and inviting them to return
  • Taking register readings, handling cash in an accurate and responsible manner, making interim cash reports, and handling frequent cash drops
  • Checking restrooms hourly to ensure adequate stocking and cleanliness as well as performing any other assigned cleaning duties
  • Answering the telephone, taking messages and To Go orders
  • Maintaining guest check in numerical orders

Qualifications:

  • Requires a High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Requires a minimum of 6 months supervisory/lead experience
  • Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers
  • Food and beverage, cash handling, and customer service experience preferred
  • Requires the ability to bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions
  • Requires the ability to lift and/or move up to 40 lbs
  • Frequently immerses hands in water and water diluted with chemical solutions

Additional:

  • Driving – Valid Driver’s License
  • Minimum Age – 18+ years old
  • must be available weekends and holidays
