Host

The Original Pancake House is seeking candidates for the position of Host that are passionate about providing an outstanding customer experience. This position will greet and seat customers, and support servers and bussers in providing a warm, welcoming and accommodating customer experience.

Compensation:

  • $16 – $17.00 per hour
  • Full-time/Part-time
  • Anniversary Pay Program
  • Standard company benefits (401k, shift meal, employee discount)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers
  • Manage influx of customers to capacity of kitchen and server staffing levels
  • Assist in cashing out customer when necessary
  • Manage a balanced cash register and process server shift reviews
  • Clean tables and assist in resetting them
  • Ensure lobby, dining areas and restrooms are clean, presentable, and stocked with necessary supplies
  • Process take-out orders

Administrative Responsibilities:

  • None

Operational Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests as they enter and manage the waiting list, as necessary
  • Seat guests at tables while following a seating rotation, as necessary
  • Provide guests with clean menus and answer any initial questions
  • Engage with guests to ensure they’re feeling a warm, welcoming and accommodating experience
  • Respond to complaints and help to resolve customer satisfaction issues
  • Answer phone calls, take messages for management, assist in customers questions
  • Demonstrate a detailed knowledge of the menu, with the ability to make suggestions
  • Provide assistance to other positions in the restaurant, as needed
  • Provide service via the OPH Way

MENTAL AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to work a 10-hour shift
